ICU is open but we have an intensivist on duty during the day. We still see our patients. We also have ICU remote telemonitoring for the nights if needed.

At Inova Fair Oaks Hospital we use EPIC and at Fauquier Hospital we use Meditech.
A lot of hospitalist groups work 7 shifts on and 7 shifts off. We do not do that. Our physicians will work 4-5 days in a row followed by 3-4 days off. They are required to work some nights (if hired for day shifts) and at least two weekends out of the month. We also have a call back-up schedule.
For FT, they are required to work a minimum of 12 shifts a month.

1p-11p (admits patients)
