Eric Ahlers

Dr. Eric Ahlers joined Virginia Medical Associates and Fauquier Hospital in 2020 after previously working at UVA Haymarket and Prince William Medical Centers. Prior to becoming Chair, he served on various committees at Fauquier Hospital including Patient Satisfaction and serves as Chair of the Patient Safety and Clinical Quality.

Dr. Ahlers is recognized as a Fellow in the American Academy of Emergency Medicine as well as Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. He has been practicing medicine in the Northern Virginia area since 2016. Areas of interest include clinical teaching as well improving electronic medical record efficiencies and physician workflow.

Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Ahlers attended Pennsylvania State University obtaining a degree in Nutritional Sciences as well a degree in Physiology. He graduated with Honors from the Pennsylvania State University Schreyers Honors College. He subsequently earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. After medical school, he completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at ChristianaCare Hospital in Delaware.
